Abstract:
This paper presents a framework for augmented reality. Head track-ing is accomplished using a head-mounted camera, which uses an optical flow based algorithm to track patterns on the ceiling. The position and orientation of the ceiling need not be known a priori, and the necessary calibration, except for radial lens distortion, can be performed on the fly using simple procedures.
